More Info

Nick Swardson: Born in 1976 in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, Nick Swardson began acting and performing improv at the age of 16. Throughout his high school career, he was expelled four times for reasons including pulling a fire alarm to get out of class and smoking marijuana. Swardson finally graduated at the age of 19, and immediately decided to pursue a career in comedy and film. While still in high school he had begun to perform at the Minneapolis Acme Comedy Co, but found himself looking for bigger and better things, moving first to New York and then to Los Angeles to work the nightclub circuit.

Swardson landed his first television appearance with Al Franken’s sitcom, LateLine, and his first minor film role as a crazed David Bowie fan in the 2000 film, Almost Famous. In 2001, his stand-up act was featured in a half-hour Comedy Central Presents special. However, it was in 2003 that Swardson’s career in comedy and film was solidified. He co-wrote the screenplay for Malibu’s Most Wanted that was released in April, he began his run as Terry Bernadino on Reno 911!, and he began a long time friendship and ongoing collaboration with Adam Sandler. In 2006, the pair worked together to write the screenplay for Grandma’s Boy, which also landed Swardson a starring role.

Famous for his Gay Robot character, Swardson landed his own series in 2010 on Comedy Central: Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, which ran for two seasons. 2012 brought a new project for Happy Madison Productions, That’s My Boy, starring Adam Sandler and Andy Samberg, with Swardson taking on a smaller role. Though there aren’t any events currently scheduled for Swardson, there should be! So make sure to demand him and let him know his talent is wanted in your city!
