* 1 Spot Left * Uncover the secrets of modern-day magic of drones by learning the mechanical construction and electronics behind modern quadcopters. In this summer camp, students will learn the mechanics, construction, physics, sensors, and coding of drones with Python. It’s the perfect introduction to robotics that can spark your child’s curiosity about interactive technology at an early age, through mindful play, problem-solving exercises and meaningful engagement with new friends. Each day will be a highly-engaging combination modern technology exploration and team-based games and competitions. We will cover 1. Aerodynamics of drone flight2. Differences between Helicopter vs Quadcopter vs. Hexacopter vs Octocopter3. Piloting strategies4. Physics behind the flight control of drones5. Building and coding of drones6. Multi-drone communication Schedule Of Activities Day 1: Intro to Drone Science: Aerodynamics and Sensors; Drone Piloting LessonsDay 2: Drone Mechanics; Drone Challenge #1Day 3: Intro to Python Coding; Drone Challenge #2Day 4: Coding Drone Features; Drone Swarms & Radio WarsDay 5: Final Challenge Day Created by an award-winning university professor, LocoSummer is a series of STEM summer camps designed to take curious kids for a deep dive into the world of modern technology through real-world coding, robotics, drone science, sensors, 3D design, physics and statistics.
