More Info

Edgar-nominated author Shelly Reuben will talk about MY MOSTLY HAPPY LIFE: AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A CLIMBING TREE and tell why, in the tradition of great 19th century authors like Charles Dickens and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, she decided to have her urban fable illustrated and—before publication in book form—serialized in the press.
Before she takes center Stage, Dr. Mary Holahan, the Museum’s Curator of Illustration, will provide background about the illustrators in the Museum's world-famous collection and describe why, historically, art and fiction have lived so long in “wedded bliss.”
Join Shelly as she tells a few tales, reads a few fun paragraphs, answers questions, and autographs copies of her book.
